He has now been involved in science centres for over 17 years. For 4 years he was the public Operations Manager at Science Alive before being appointed as the Director of a new science centre in Brunei for 3 years. At the end of his contract he was appointed as CEO of Science Alive and Science Alive Exhibits Ltd. Just over 10 years in these two roles gives him significant experience in not only the operational aspects of running a science centre but also the management and development of projects which included detailed concept planning, design, exhibit selection, fabrication, delivery, installation and staff training. He developed extensive concept plans for a new science centre in Christchurch after the Science Alive building was destroyed in the 2011 earthquakes. He has worked both locally and internationally and most recently delivered on two major contracts in Cambodia and Malaysia. Both these contracts involved working with the clients on internal design, selection of exhibits, exhibit design, fabrication, delivery, installation and training of staff. It also involved the provision of education programmes complimentary to their exhibits. In both instances he brought together a team of specialists to complete the contract on time and within budget. Working independently he now utilises this expertise to provide clients with a customised service delivering interactive exhibits and exhibitions of the highest standard through Interactive Exhibition Specialists.","bio_short":"Neville trained as a teacher and taught for nearly 20 years before getting involved in the science centre movement.","active":1},{"id":2,"id_name":"lim","first_name":"Kai","last_name":"Lim","thumb_url":"thumb_lim.jpg","photo_url":"photo_lim.jpg","position":"Interactive Specialist \/ Manager","bio":"Over the past 20 years, Lim has worked throughout Asia and Australasia in his specialist field of new & digital media.
